USE GOOD PAINT FOR CRYING OUT LOUD!!!! It's one thing to use cheap paint in an electro, but if you're sporting a pump - you need those balls to fly straight and consistent; and you also need them to break on people every time. Paint quality/consistency is 95% of accuraccy. It's not like you're shooting a case a day or anything.......

I can see this guys point, since I am just now starting to get serious with my phantom, there are so many times I could have had people if I could have shot 20 paintballs at them. But since I only had 1 or 2 they got away. I switch it up and shoot my Dye when I get this feeling and lay waste to much paint, but it makes me feel better anyway. When I started with my Dye I was using 3 cases in 2 or 3 hours. I have sut back to 1 bag every 2 or 3 trips with my phantom. OP, you should look into a semi for the times when you want to lay paint. It will make it more fun, and thats what we all play for anyway.

the simplest advice is just play more and get better at it or get an open class gun. I had been playing for a while before i started in to pump and personally i've never felt out gunned or wished i could shoot faster. it just takes some learning, personally I can lead a guy off running 50 yards away and hit him. So it's just a mater of getting used to your gun a practicing really.

In my opinion, woodsball is harder with a pump than speedball is. The reason being, in woodsball, there are a lot more variables that can prevent your ball from connecting with your opponent - and it's usually longer range.

Have you thought about maybe picking up some sort of pistol? Most are 10 shot, spring fed and you can switch some to be hopper fed. They mostly run of 12 grams. Though you can again change some to bulk air. Compared to your Phantom, they'd still have that small set-up, with a little extra weight (sometimes).

No, I don't enjoy the challenge I get out of pump. I see too many openings I could have filled with a semi, and soo many more eliminations I could have easily picked off.
if you could've easily picked them off, what's the fun?

to me if it's not a challenge it's not fun, but if you could've easily picked them off with an electro or semi, but can't with your phantom it sounds like you need to step your game up a notch. practice, practice, practice!

if it ain't fun, you're not doing it right.

get a tac8

I laugh at your whining, pathetic posts. I now mock them publicly.

*flashing neon sign streams into the room*Join a gym. Practice your aim at moving targets. Grow a pair of testicles to hang between your legs, there's a obvious void there now. *flashing neon sign streams out of the room*

I have a ICD Thunder Cat (ooooold marker), that I used in a similiar style as a pump. It is a mechanical semi and tops off at 8bps (heavy trigger pull). So I shoot it around the same speed as I would with a pump, but without the pumping. And the weight is very light, similiar to the Phantom. That's the closest that I've able to come to a pump marker without buying one. I also have Mags, but they weight a lot more.

One can do the same with any marker. Using a "tournament" style marker gives you the added ability to lay a rope of paint in front of someone or make sure a guy doesn't wipe again.

Alrighty.. Don't get another pump. You already own one of the best. A different one won't change anything. Just get a nice electro and play less. Seams to me you're playing to much and not enjoying it. Don't play to just play. Don't get a project gun like most other posters suggested.. AGD, Cocker.. Get a simple mainstream electro, PM6, PM5, Etek, PMR, Ion..
