According to the FAA laws, you need to check them with your luggage. You can not carry them on the plane. I always leave mine in my gear bag in a padded gun case with a copy of the FAA laws on transporting paintball markers and Compressed air tanks. That way if some newb baggage checker opens up my bag and sees the paintball gun, they see a copy of the FAA laws too, which allow you to transport it in your checked luggage.

when you travel you also have to have your tank 100% depressurized. other than that you should have no problem taking it on the plane as long as you check it in your luggage.

you can also twist out the reg on the top of your tank so they can look inside of it, to check for bombs and stuff.

you have to do this. also, as said above keep your gun in a gearbag that is going to the luggage part of the plane. Do not try to carry it on, you may be allowed to idk, but dont risk it.

I have a case i lock my paintball gun in with a FAA lock, this keeps the bag throwers from getting any ideas. With out the lock they can open the bag and take what they want but with a locked case it's more of a deterrent.

a seperate case isn't required, you can just throw it on top of you cloths in your suitcase. You CANT have it in your carry on, and you do have to take the reg out of your air tank. Thats about it

Rules change. So it is best to check with your airlines before you show up at the airport.

Regulations Regarding Transportation of Recreational Firearms

Recreational Firearms include Paintball guns due to the fact that they fire off a projectile at high velocity.

I work at SFO, that being said check you markers in. Remove your tank regulator from the threads completely. You must also pack the marker and tank in separate baggage. If you are flying domestic, the TSA lock is fine, HOWEVER if you are traveling abroad, please bear in mind that U.S. Customs and Border Protection, part of the Department of Homeland Security does not have a copy of TSA's master key. If you lock your baggage and they are going to inspect it when your return, make sure you tell the officers from CBP that you will gladly unlock the baggage for inspection, otherwise they WILL CUT YOUR LOCKS! Another bit of advice,do not get an attitude with them either, they are doing a job and will not take kindly to arrogance or disrespect in the form of mouthing off. If you are polite and respectful, you will have little to no trouble clearing through Customs on return. feel free to PM me with any questions you may have or for more detail I can always ask the TSA at work.
