2012
I'm not sure if this goes in here but it seemed the most suitable. 2012...is it the end of the world? The mayans weren't the only to beleive so, there were many other unrelated predictions different times in history that came back to this same date. All the evidence points that its definatly going to happen but for some reason I honestly don't beleive it will though I will not criticize those who do think that it's doomsday, it very well could be. What do you guys think, I'de like to hear what other people know or think about it.

If you believe in the bible, it states no man will know when the end is to come, not even the son himself.

Oh, sorry I'm knew and tried searching but didn't know there were a lot more threads. Sorry, but anyway yeah I am Christian and that's the main reason I don't think it'll happen because you said it exactly, no man will know the end. Also too the end has been predicted WAY too many times before and come up wrong.

its tyed to zodiac aswell. the mayan calandar is a lot like the zodiac, which was created on a different continent. the mayan calandar ends with a man pouring water, the next age in zodiac is the age of aquarius, a man pouring water. its also in the bible code many times, it says the end will come in 2012 in the form of an asteriod. theres many other ties some people wouldnt get so ill save myself the time of posting.
the end has been predicted many times, but not like this, it hasnt been in ancient calandars around the world and in the worlds most famous text. will it be the end or a new beggining?

I've said it before and I'll say it again, the "end" described on the Maya calendar simply means the end of that calendar and the beginning of a new one. They calculated that by 2012, the old calendar won't be accurate anymore. People who think it's the end of the world are morans.

No **** eh. The guy probably just got to the year 2012, and said **** it. Like he's gonna be alive to get punished when they run out of calendars in 2013.

It's a silly way of saying moron...
I lol at everyone who doesn't understand what the end of the Mayan calendar really means. Omfg teh worldz gonna sploed@! No, teh world isn't gonna sploed. The Mayan calendar will just become outdated and inaccurate, and a new one would have to be created. Not that it would effect anyone anyways since nobody uses the Mayan calendar anymore.
