it's chopping because bkos' are blind.
you can have eyes installed, but it's gonna cost $75-$100

the best thing to do is to get good force fed hopper and don't rip as fast as you can.

You've got your Halo with V35, so that'll be enough. The Halo gets rid of the effects of blowback, but you also may experience rollback or double feeding. ICD came up with the crappy detent system. If your friend had a force-fed hopper and didn't strengthen the o-ring detent with marcoline or a rubber washer, then that's why he had so many chops. See the Ultimate FAQ for a tutorial on how to perform the macroline mod.
rollback is also a big problem sometimes. Sometimes, the ram sits too far back and the ball rolls backward while another ball is partially loaded. when you fire, the two balls collide, and they get chopped. Put a paintball in the breech and put another on top of it. With no air, NO AIR NO AIR NO AIR, take the barrel off and look into the breech. tilt the marker backwards, and apply some gentle pressure on the second ball. If you see it protruding into the breech, then you've got rollback. That's a more complicated problem to fix, but it's not too hard.

i wouldn't go as far to say as get rid of blowback effects, if you got some rediculous stuff like the mini when it first came out let me tell you that you will be dealing with a soup hopper and broken balls.

ya they got that fixed now,
but even with the stockbolt i never really had a blowback problem with my bko, maybe a .25 inch hop at worst.

my bko does a pretty good job of ripping with a v35... just get your regs balanced and keep your pressures low, and you will have a great time shooting the crap out of people.

No eyes on BKO Even with my Reloader B I can chop sometimes. 2-3 chops throughout the whole day. I also don't slow down the ripping haha. Just use a good hopper and your fine.
