That's an understatement. I am especially happy that FL lost to Auburn. I was hoping FSU was going to lose too, but oh well And then Miami played so ****ty today against Duke. But I still love the "U." Today was a bad day for ranked teams..

On the topic of females, I hate my idiotic English professor. Nit picks way too much at my essays always trying to find something wrong. It's not anything having to do with the content at all either.

I asked because I'm considering a minor/double major involving Women's Studies, and ST seems to be a feeding ground for anti-feminist sentiment--most of the time with "feminist" just meaning "*****y-*** woman". Just wondering if the Politics subforum was any more well-informed.

I ain't no man-hater. In fact, I like them a lot.
Also, I shave my pits.

I just find the feminist movement and most movements in general to be laden with hypocrisy and empty rhetoric, so long as you can manage to avoid those pitfalls I find nothing wrong with it.

Although, the practicality of the major is debatable, but whatevs

There are very few majors that actually provide one with legitimate skills, which are directly applicable to the workplace; the exceptions namely being in the sciences and a few commerce majors.

Depends. Some feminists take it too far, but they do raise a semi-valid point.

I said I planned on minoring/double majoring. And if I did plan on doing anything with Women's Studies, it would definitely have to be teaching. Duh.

I'm glad you generalized your statement to "most movements in general," Adema.

I had to make the obligatory make a sammich statement first, failure to do so can result in a perm ban.

But if that's what interests you go for it and you also might want to look into anthropology and international studies.
