Not the best photographs in the world, as you said, but damn... New Zealand really is beautiful. The first waterfall picture looks like it was made in Terragen, it's so idyllic.

Looks like you had a good time.
I would be careful though, the regulars will come on here and flame you in an attempt to boost their e-penis.

You seem to know your faults so I won't remind you of them.
Beautiful place. You have a great advantage.

wow.... New Zealand is freaking beautiful... what part of the country has those huge mountains on the water?
Your pictures aren't amazing or anything, but they could be, if you took time to practice (or just be like me and shoot a gazillion shots until one comes out awesome), then you'd really have something of beauty.

Just out of curiousity, besides spending money on a real camera or something to make the pictures sharper and getting real lenses, and not having a crooked horizon here and there (shooting on a boat is not easy) what could be better about them? I know I could crop the boat one better, but meh.
The huge mountains on the water is Fiordland National Park. That is Milford Sound, to be specific. It's really incredible, the mountains rise to around 5000 feet right out of the water, and the middle of the fjords are around 2000 feet deep.
these are all from the South Island. In my opinion, south island >>> north island in terms of amazing scenery, but they both have a lot.

Horizons can easily be fixed by a quick rotate and crop.

I kinda liked the 4th and last shots. The others were just kinda "meh" and didn't do much for me.

Truly the 4th one is the only decent one in terms of quality.
The rest are hazy, or un-sharp, and dull.
