Heres few from today. I really hate the 80-400 VR. I vow to never use it again. Ill be using 300mm primes from now on to shoot planes.

Anyway, This was our "not an airshow" thing. it looks like an airshow, and had airplanes from the air show, only no thunderbirds... therefore, we couldn't call it an airshow.

It was a fun time. Im getting so burnt out on photography.. I need to like do something different other than just shoot planes and military ceremonies..

Flickr automatically resizes them and it looks like poo. Im gonna re-host later.. it really just kills the sharpness of all of them.

would like 8 a whole lot more if the troops were in focus too. your eye is still drawn to them first even tho they are OOF.

they're all phallic symbols. For instance, don't you just know the pilot of the A-10 in shot number 2 is thinkging, "Na Na, mines bigger than yours."

Hey Ryan,

I know you probably don't shoot prop planes a lot. But when you do, use a little shower shutter speed so you don't completely stop the motion on the props. It looks funny to see a plane hanging in mid air with a prop that looks like it's still.

But I love the shots of the two planes flying together.

The horizon isn't level in 4 or 8...

8 just has too much dead space on the left. It would have been better if they were walking into the frame. It also seems kind of underexposed.
