Dual QEV 07 Ego, <PICS>

Well I got an extra 07 QEV, and being inspired by Jack Wood's and demiruyar video casts, I decided to try and squeeze every ounce of performance out of my Ego. In other words I wanted to get SL74 performance out of my existing marker, this is the first as far as I know and the only one of its kind (as of now). I took progressive pictures so that everyone can see that it truely does fit together perfect. The last picture is blurry and shows the CPS at a ridiculous 95 CPS on training mode, just crazy or the counter is broken.

New pics...

Nice work!
But looks like your cps counter is experiencing some problems Do you have the new software?
Make sure to film it like me and jack did.

Looks like you milled out too much under the second QEV and punctured your frame...

I will try and post a vid very soon on how it shoots...as far as the milling, yes there is a slight flaw close to the second QEV. As with any first go around there is a trail and error period, and that was an error. I will just call it an exhaust port for now (LOL). On the second marker I am going to do I know now what I can and cannot do. It is a slight flaw but I do believe that the structural integrity of the overall frame is still in tact. Overall I am VERY happy with the overall outcome.

He is referring to the 3.10 software versus the first 3.00 software.

As far as milling the QEV, the metal is much softer and the walls of the actual QEV are not as thick as the frame. The frame where I milled it is not load-bearing as the sides and back of the frame. The slight flaw that I did was due to one quick misangle of the mill, but like I said it is hardly noticable and on the second one it will not happen.

Nice work. Besides milling the inside of the trigger frame, did you have to do any other alterations? I'm guessing that the barb threads are the same as the 07 QEV threads.

Also, could you take pictures of the inside of the frame? I'd really like to see that.

To answer your question, it is like why have cars go over 75 mph, since that is the Speed Limit on US Interstates...

Answer: It is knowing that you can go faster! That is why people buy and modify cars to go faster.
The same applies to paintball markers...some tournaments cap ROF @ 15 BPS, but some don't. The faster you can make you marker shoot the better...it is that knowledge that the marker can achieve higher BPS is what is satisfying!
