I'm not feeling either of them.
The first would be better if there was more space beneath the climber. And maybe some clouds in the sky or something.
There's way too much compression in the second one...

In other news, there's going to be a lunar eclipse tonight. Giant red moons ftw. I'll be getting up at 2 AM to view/photograph it.

There's no point in driving outside the city, the moon will be way brighter than the light pollution. The light pollution will make some stars not visible, but it won't have an effect on the moon.
I photographed the last one in 2003 or 2004, and I live in the giant city that is all of Southern California...

Here's a photo from the last eclipse, it's a 100% crop from my old camera that didn't even have manual controls. So it was pretty much impossible to expose the moon correctly.
Hopefully I'll get better results this time.
