SE MINNESOTA ... NE Iowa... Western WISCONSIN..Time to start planning for next season

we need to start thinking about next season and if there are gong to be tournaments in the area next year and what the format(s) are going to be. I would like to propose a gathering of all the teams (and possibly field owners)in the area that would like to be involved in getting something going for next year. I would propose this ....

we should all gather at Skyline paintball in rochester sometime in the next few weeks and have a mock tournament/scrimage and afterwards talk about our home fields having some sort of tournament series like they have over SD (i-29 series) ofr sometime next year.

there are a lot of players in the area and I think we could draw a pretty good turnout...

post here if you would like to try and set something up and tell me a little about your team and your local field

also spread this around.... forward this thread to all your friends in the area so we can get a bunch of teams and fields looking to participate

thanks
Carson Romme

well I guess we will have to find a different field in the area.... not too much of a problem....

Im thinking early october having everyone come here for a free mock tournament (fpo) and then we can talk about what sort of tournaments we want to have

thanks

SCP could be a possibility for a wisconsin field right on the border.

sounds good.... I will have a date for the 'free tourney' for all the teams int he area in a couple of days.... we will provide all the air and stuff like that and there are going to be good deals on paint.

we are looking at running a a series of skins tournaments next season (get $$$ for each win) and hopefully turning it into a curcuit with all the other fields....

Yeah Wanda sold the field but we (Winona State) just picked up 2 of Fox's old fields and will be keeping them there

i know our field owner/players would be interested in this kind of thing. our field is battlefield paintball in osseo wi 25 min south of eau claire, wi. ill have the manager jason get ahold of you. Also its 96 miles from rochester to osseo.

the field info is in my sig

Lets get this planned before too many perfect weather days go by

Any of you tried or planned on trying the MWPPA?

The payout is incredible and it is the most professional 5 man the area has ever seen.

Not to mention the affordable cost.

Also, for those looking to do some winter scrimmages: Air Assault Paintball is the place to play.

We, Air Assault Factory, are always looking to scrimmage other teams from the area.

we played in the last two mwppas and they were great... I am thinking this is gong to be something for the teams that Elk River is a bit too far to drive and there are a lot of teams between rochester, lascrosse, winona, and all the other areas around here....

we are having a field meeting tomorrow.... after that we will have dates and times for the casual tournament

thanks

action jacks in central iowa would probably participate in a series if it wouldnt be too far for everyone. they bought the smart parts xball field from chicago 07' and they got grass and everything. lmk if it would be too far for you guys... its 2.5 hrs straight west of the illinois/wisc border and probably 1.5-2 hours south of the minnesota border

Battlefield Paintball has been looking to start a series for the upper midwest.. we just need to get open minded field owners who are willing to work together for a common goal .. putting paintball back on the map in the midwest.. in addition not looking at other fields as competition, but as allies.

www.bfpaintball.com fee free to contact me at the field.. so we can get some thing going for MN and WI paintball series

sounds good... we are meeting at 5:30 to scrim and discuss what date for the tourney.....Im thinking the 6th of oct or the 13th.... should still be warm enough ......from that we should be able to see what fields are interested and how to run it.... if we had five fields running a series around the area we should have a pretty good set up..... I think we need to talk about format (nppl, xball, or some sort of hybrid.... thats what Im for) what the prizes are going to be and how we are gong to advertise it online..... stuff like that...
