Yeah that's what I was reading.

Do you regret getting any of those lenses (seriously, those are the exact ones I'm looking at/ordered).

I'd like to have gotten the 70-200 over the 80-200 (you WILL miss some shots with the AF), but when I got the 80-200 AND the 12-24 for less than the price of the 70-200, I don't relaly mind. If you have a large budget, by all means get a 18-70 and 70-200 instead, but I like my kit just fine

Yeah I have a teeeeny budget, photography + car modding on a highschool students budget just doesn't work.

I should be getting the 50 1.8 in the mail tomorrow, then I'm going to order the 18-55 so I can do some wide-ish angle stuff, then I'm not sure after that. Depends what I'm shooting at that time.

Jeez, a Carrera GT as a student?! niiice.

YOu can't go wrong with the 12-24 or the 80-200, so just go with what you need

Haha, that was from this thread in st:a, this new guy actually believed most of us owned exotics... fun stuff.

I'm really just excited to be shooting with some good glass, I've been dealing with my Tamron kit lenses for way too long.

That thread was ****ing epic.

I wish I actually owned the Prodrive P2, an F1 car, and multiple aircraft including a Citation X and an f-18.

5D and a bunch of prime lenses.

My favorite camera of all time is still my 10D because it has sentimental value and because it still fits in my hand more perfectly than anything else ever made. And it's better built than the 5D is.

Oh and I own a lensbaby 2.0

Q: Why buy an EFS lens that almost mimics the attributes of your other wide zoom lens

I love the 50 f/1.4

oh because i didn't use the 50 as much as i wanted. i tried out my friend's 35L and i'm hooked on that too. so ultimately my lineup will be

17-55 2.8 IS
35L
70-200 f4L

the tamron will be sold because for the "everything" lens i wanted something wider than 28mm. and i might do UWA again, used to have a canon 10-22 but again, didn't use it as much as i could have. so to me, my reasoning makes sense here.
