hey guys,
I only really know basic Photoshop stuff (levels, curves, etc.), but don't really know anything further. I was wondering if someone could explain how to get results like this. And is there any good tutorial books out here to look at?

It would be really nice if you would get a Avvy Tutorial. Some thing that would show how to put pics into 80x80 size and how to make gifs.
If anything is made or if anyone knows where one if these are can you pm me. I dont think i will be able to find this thread lol.

Well each level improves on the next so it all depends on what you want.
I have CS4 but thats cause I like having new... especially when it is free  |

if anyone can afford 25 a month check out lynda.com its ****ing great. has hours upon hours upon hours of video tutorials teaching you how to use the program, rather than a specific task. i bet even some of the better photographers on here would learn a great deal. and there are plenty of other programs too.

Nik Silver Efex Pro is an ownage plugin for photoshop when you're converting pics to black and white. Seriously.

Has anyone here used Gimp at all? I have a macbook and I was looking around for free photo editing software and came across Gimp. It has a lot of the same features that Photoshop does, just not quite as refined. That's what I've noticed so far at least.
But I have a problem.. I'll edit some pictures on Gimp, save them, and then when I view them with just an image viewer, the colors are all out of wack, different then what I saved.. Anyone use Gimp, notice this, comments????
