Here is another picture for reference to compare a nearly new 90's jersey with a new headband on top of it. The colors are not exact as you can tell, but not nearly as faded as yours. The new 7oz poly cotton blend doesn't have the deep ridges like the 10oz bull denim so the colors are more vibrant, which does account for some of the color difference between the two.
I would like to dispute the quality claim that you made, I have washed a bunch of different headwear in the washer and none of it is falling apart. I have also never had a customer complain about something falling apart.
(flash on shows details of each)

anyone got a pic of an older style green that i can compare my new style green to, that way i can help out by showing the differences?
from what i've seen, and i could br wrong, the older style green is the same type of material used on the older style brown, but the older style green seems to be just a light colored green with the skulls, but as you can see in my pic below, its a darker, more vibrant green. theres also parts of brown, and the material is different.
heres a pic of the new style(my sandana):
also, they did reprint blue and red, check sandanas sight, they only make actual sandanas, no headbands that i know of, and they dont seem to be tie backs like actual headbands(unless you want to cut the mesh off, and have a velcro headband, but thats just kinda lame)
pics at http://sandanapaintball.com/
and search flying skull. the new style brown/tan, green, red and blue all show up.

Blue and red weren't redone. Some dealers still have a few pieces, while the Sandana website is in dire need of updating because all of those pictures were done before any of the brown and green were reprinted and do not show a lot of their stuff. They do not have any blue or red left, so I hope the website is updated sometime soon before people do start ordering from there.

venomwear rules!!!
GREAT THREAD!
ok, i bought a reprint tan/brown sandana about 5 months ago. the material used on the tan is really thick like the one from the 90's.
sandana
close up of the material
sandana on top, jersey on the bottom. the color of the sandana used to be the same as the jersey.
so a few weeks ago i ordered a tan jersey. im quite pleased as it feels quite thick.

That limited edition tan/green proline was made out of scrap original material, that's not the new stuff and there weren't a whole lot of them made.

If by legit you mean the older material then yes. Although it was probably cut out of pants or coveralls.

It most likely was because it does not have the original Sandana tag. You could also compare the cut of it to an original, but you can't really tell that from a pic.

Like paintballer187 said, it was most likely made from pants or coveralls. I wash my venomwear on cold and hang dry it with no problems. I wouldn't wash it too often though because it may start to fade.

Not likely. I'd take closer pics of the terry cloth and stitching and post here to confirm.
All the new Sandana stuff is labeled as machine washable and I've done that without a problem. Just let them hang dry if you want to reduce fading.

people actually pay $70 for a headband with skulls on it?
any particular reason why? other than it looks "cool" to some?
just curious why they are priced so ridiculous'

Well people would consider it "OG" since it is old fabric and not the newer stuff. The question should have been whether or not it was made from pants or actually made by Sandana.
