What is a good barrel for A1 Joy?

Hey guys, I got a joy stiffi a few weeks ago and personally my stock barrel is shooting better. I was wondering what barrel do you guys recommend to go on a A1 joy. I'm leaning towards the sly joy stick but don't know how much different it would be then the joy stiffi. What do you think?

I found the Dye ultra-lite was best by far

Get the small bore kit. It's cheaper for mommy and daddy.

the stock angel a1 barrel kit is great I also have an ultralite set and I have to say that I don't see much difference. If it was me I would just get the small bore kit and maybe the carbon tip maybe

would reccomend the small bore because UL's and Stiffi's limit you to one bore I feel they are too restricted and a waste of $$$, for the price of some of them new you could a used freak kit! Pls don't flame but I love my freak I've had such good luck with it and there's many options with tips and cheap inserts and such here on PbN...Use a freak on my ego but my A1 just the stocker bores and such...

My Joy Stik Stiffi has always shot great. Are you sure that you have a good paint to bore match?

I own stock kit, extended kit, 2 stiffis as well as a sly kit. With good bore match stiffi shoots amazing then would come with sly kit followed by the stock/extended kit.

Even when I can find paint big enough to fit my stock backs I find that my DeadlyWind barrel shoots much better. It's essentially a one piece carbon fiber barrel that uses Freak inserts. I had thought about buying the A1 small bore kit but it was actually more expensive than the DeadlyWind barrel since I already had a full set of Freak inserts.

The joy stick is .691 and compared to the stock .691 it isn't as accurate with the same type of paint (usually premium or draxxus).

pretty much all the micro-honed barrels shoot the same. just depends on what you want in weight and look.

i've been very happy with all the stock Angel barrels i've owned. though i usually use a 16" .698 stiffi for the weight.

Get a Deadlywind Fibur CF barrel.

It allows you to change inserts (SP Freak inserts), and shoots great

If you want a freak type barrel the Fibur is clearly the best choice. Lightest barrel kit ever made for a pb gun.

Stock barrels are great too and the FLY carbon tip makes it just about the same weight as a SLY carbon barrel.

I hear the CP kits are nice but a $200 retail price for 5 backs and one front is going to drive most people away from them. I believe they do make the fronts and backs in a wide variety of colors though. I guess that's nice for people that care about colors matching on their marker.
