Ghetto Reball Catchers (Post Yours!)

Heh, just wanted to show off my new crappy reball catcher made out of a monsterball box, masking tape, duct tape and rolled up grocery bags

this is the top part where the balls go in, the little two tabs on the inside that aren't covered in duct tape are so that balls don't fly back out when they go in, since they will hit the prong (from the inside) and then fly back in

there is also a little spout on the top left corner with the tab made of duct tape, thats so that you can pour out the reballs which you've shot into the box

I stuck my camera down into the hole for shooting the reballs and took a picture, this is the two peices of cardboard I cut off the top of the box (normally holds the handle in place) which I duct taped and taped on top of a mound of grocery bags which will padd the reballs hit, thus reducing the chances that they will pop out, and increasing the chances that the balls will not puncture the box

backside/sides of the box, which show reinforced taping and the handle cardboard peice literally taped onto the side, allowing you to easily transport the amazing reball catcher

what have you guys done?

it shouldnt... the sheet should absorb most of the impact and it would just fall into the box.....

mine is basicly an h shaped thing lol. 2 plywood boards with a 2x4 cross beam and a thick baglike thing hanging from it. The balls only penatrate the first layer of the bag and stop at the back and just stay in the bag until i empty it.

I don't have any reballs yet, gonna buy 'em soon, but I think a blanket tucked into the couch, and aiming at the place where the seat and back meet would workfine.

I took a 55 gallon plastic barrel and 2 bed sheets, sewed the bed sheets together to double them up layer-wise into a "sock" like shape, then let them very loosely line the inside of the barrel.

I found it works best if you have a few old cushions or pillows to throw in the bottom before you put in your sheet-liner. After I tried it out a few times, I went back for additional padding and put camping mat (the kind like you'd put under your sleeping bag, or that they sell for Yoga-type acticities) all around the inside of the barrel then re-installed my sheet-lining.

I simply used duct tape to secure the sheet-lining to the lip of the barrel, then made a little stand that allows the barrel to sit with it's opening facing me at an angle, then it's good to go. After you're done firing, you can easily collect the reballs by pulling the lining "inside-out" towards you, and all the reballs roll together in a pile and you can pour them into your box or hopper, whatever you keep them in.

It's simple, completely durable, and easy to move around when you're not using it. It's Plenty big enough that you don't have to worry about missing it from across the room, and I've been using it for well over a year now.
