I got shot point blank in the nutsack by a 260 fps airsoft gun, but that wasn't as bad a paintball would be. I'll try the towel idea when I play.

First time i played i put my 2 pod pack protecting the family jewels, now my proto pants have enough padding that i'm not scared, but my brother and a few friends have gotten shot there

I guess...
I have yet to be shot in the nuts, but I was reffing and some moron must've thought I was a player or something and he kept on shooting at me. I got hit by him like 4 times and one of them landed right above my dong. I was relieved that I didn't get hit.
Woodsballers really suck at trigger control.

Yeah...think of an "Apache Loin-cloth"...take a medium towel and fold it in half, length-wise. Tuck 1/2 of it into the front of your pants and let the rest cover your "boys" on the outside. |

been shot in the nuts a few times, Dye C7 pants are baggy enough and have a bit of padding so it doesnt really hurt most of the time. Friend got shot about 6 times in the nuts from point blank range with reballs once though, damn that was a funny day. left him curled up on the floor half crying half dead, came back about 20 mins later and he was still in the same position 
now he wears about 6 pairs of boxer shorts for protection |

I use one of these:
Just rip off the velcro, and wear it over your boxers, or just replace your boxers with it. It works great for me... They cost about $20-$30, so it's definetly worth it |
