I think my DM4 is a lemon...

alright I bought a used DM4 about ehh 2 weeks ago, and when i aired it up the day i got it it sounded amazing. i waited till this past week to shoot it with paint...well it sounds good until it tries to fire a ball then they just barely roll out or there will be the one ball that goes faster than 300fps and sounds like a canon. well i took the bolt apart relubed...took the lpr out relubed...took the hyper2 apart relubed...and yet it still happens (i looked at the stickies to take apart, reset, ect). I think it could be 2 things. the wires going to the noid from the board look like someone broke them and tried to solder them back on the noid...now when i say solder im talking like globs of solder and about half of the wire actually attached the other half is cut inside the shrink tubing. the other is the dm-t chip...it wont let me change the dwell rof abs basically i can only change modes. now im not sure which but i had the guy at my local field tech it and he called me this morning and said that he cannot fix it...he had it for 4 days, and he couldnt fix it. you guys have any ideas? i kno that the noid wires will cost me about 10 bux and it didnt come with the stock chip...so the dm-t is all i have to work with. you think i could send the gun to Dye and see if they could fix it or if they'd send me the stock chip?

any help would be appreciated

my addvice is drop the $100-175 for the UL Frame. I had a DM4 for two years and never had a problem other then hopper breaks but no chops. Did solder get on your board and or chip? Also just look for a chip you may be able to find one cheap.

well i cant see any solder on the board...i emailed scenario dreams and they said they would reflash it for free...but i dont know if maybe the chips pins are bad from being bent maybe...if i did get a new chip which would you guys recommend...id like a ul frame but money is hard to get for me, i liked what i have heard about the predator chip.

Sounds like it might be a mixture between FSDO and bad reg settings.

you could try resetting your board settings and cleaning your reg

well no matter which way i changed either of the regs it would still not shoot right...

May be a stupid question but it hasn't been ruled out yet. Has anyone tried putting in a brand new battery? If you have than I would say that it is the Chip or the board settings.

i just unwrapped this battery from its package...so i doubt its that...plus the guy that teched it im sure he wouldve used one of his own batteries to check with

same thing happened to me and it was the battery. Might be different for you but id check the battery and wires like you said.

i have a lemon..no joke, i have a leak everytime I gas it up, and the eyes never work, i just broke the asa, i chop 5/500 paintballs, and i only get 3 pods of a 68/45...dont worry, Im worse off than u

the hyper is fine...it made friends pm5 actually work...his wasnt recharging fast enough and slapped mine on there an it worked like a champ. i should be getting it back the middle of this week.

I tried the dmt chip, I never could make it work. I think thier trash. Pick up a chip from the company that if you spell its name wrong you get banned and that will end all your problems. It was the best thing I put in my DM5. If it fires then the wires are good. they may be ugly and should be replaces, but I would put the dmt chip in the trash and order a better one.
