im gettin a bit frustrated with people tryin to con me my tradin their fake tree trunk sandana for my legit tree trunk sandana so im makin this thread on sandanas/headwraps to identify which ones are which and some info on them.they are actually called headwraps but a paintball company called sandana i think made these popular and now everyone calls them sandanas even tho some sandanas arnt made by sandana, i dont care if you think im wrong about these sandanas etc this is what ive personally witnessed to the best of my knowledge, there are lots of sandanas like black ones etc but im focusing on the camo sandanas
these 2 are tree trunk (antique) sandanas, these are very rare and people have paid between $600-$700 for these babies, i currently use one and u paid $200 at the time for it, these were made famous by Ollie Lang (when he used to have one), Billy Ceranski,LB,B MAYO, etc. these are a hunting headwraps obviously used for hunting but old school players like Billy Ceranski brought into the paintball world and players like Lang emulated and made them the THING to have on ya head when you play paintball and are gettin harder and harder to come by nowadays,The tree bark pattern on the sandana is what makes these look so cool
this is a fake tree trunk and are worth like $50 ,some have the sandana logo on them and some dont but all you need to know that these are the ones that people pretend to legit so dont be fooled, they are not hard to tell the difference between the 2 and are of very thin material, these are not even close as cool as the antique tree trunks in the 1st pics
this is a brown leaf sandana (the dude above the closest dude)-these are as rare as legit tree trunks but they dont have tree bark and have brown leafs instead which dont look that good so they are only worth like $300-$400 compared to the tree trunk
Pro line real tree sandanas- these are the most popular as they are the most affordable and look better when they are faded these are worth like around the $25 mark, there are several versions that im not gunna show you for example black mesh with venomwear band, snake pattern etc but these are the no-frills sandana, they do not have the same tree bark as the tree trunks and are much duller and dont look as good
Smartparts sandana/MOJO sandana- these are kinda gettin rare themselves and most people havent heard of these but i personally own one and i bought it from smartparts years ago they are difficult to tell the difference between a faded pro line sandana and a smartparts sandana id say these are worth like $40, people like Jon Richardson, JC Whittington, Marcus Nielson i have seen wear them
there is also venomwear sandanas etc but the ones above are only the ones worth mentioning as we know venomwear is cool but not when its a headwrap as they are material instead of mesh so doesnt look flush with the persons head
