so I halfbacked my spyder some more...

... and I've decided to make a Spimmy with it after I finish it and anno it.

All the work on it was done by hand with files and sandpaper.

Any other ideas for milling? Otherwise I'm gonna pretty much just clean it up and sand off all the ridges and lines to sort-of "UL" it.

Then for anno, any idea for a cool one? One that might go good with the milling? I love how the black background with blood splatter looks, I'm gonna look into that. But that'll probably be really expensive.

I halfbacked my spyder body and got to the point of making a spimmy, then just went for a timmy. But great idea. Make sure your bottom and top tube are cleaned out and burr free to insure the gun won't have any problems w/ the ram sleeve and/or bolt.

Yeah, but I already have had two Timmys, so this time I wanted to make one that is totally mine. And I know what I'm doing with Intimidators, so that helps with the whole "spimmifying" process

I think it looks nice. Good job. I could never have that much patience. If you're going to do a Timmy try using an ESP frame so it looks more like a spyder.

I don't know about that, I plan on making this a really nice Spimmy if I do it at all. I want to make it a 2K5 spimmy.

But now that I look at it, it kinda looks like a wave at the back.... I might make the "Ocean Intimidator", with a swirly blue anno with the whitecap breaker instead of the blood splatter anno.

noxi- nope im not. its on hold due to my promaster's problems.

back on topic. the reason I said use the ESP frame is because EVERY other spimmy uses it and if you want to go buy all the timmy frame stuff too you might as well get a timmy.

Jesus Crust - I used a metal saw (the one with the small teeth for all you mechanically-declined people), and cut off a good section to start with. Then I used various files to get the rest to how I wanted it. Then I started to sand it, and I plan of sanding off all the old anno, and smoothing it out. Be prepared to go slow and have lots of patience if you want it too look good. This is the second spyder I've half-backed.

Codymm1014 - I've had Intimidators already (currently have a Russian Legion), so it's not the fact that I want an Intimidator that I'd spimmy it. It's the fact I want to build an Intimidator from the ground up and make it my own personal one. I toyed with the idea of using a ESP frame. I think it would be funny to show up to my field with it, having people think I'm using a spyder, and then have it perform like a Timmy.

I don't know how much more detail I can get into. The design wasn't planned, it's just what happened. Depending on the body you're using you might have to mill a slot on the top for the bolt pin. (Because rear-cocking guns look like ***).

I don't really like rocking triggers, but that would be kinda cool to see.

What I would need to know is like where to stop cutting hw far back, how thin, stuff like that. I could probably do most of it by your pic though.

oh, alright, well you should see where your back o-ring is on you bolt when it's cocked back, measure it so you know where that is on the outside of the body. Then stay back another 1/4 inch or so. This is so you have some breathing room. Make sure that there are no burs on the sides of the tube when you put your bolt in. Don't cut down below the top tube into the bottom one unless you're making a Spimmy.
