As for the NXL, XBall is very expensive. imo XBall light is the future, like the M7 format. Anyways that's OT - Legacy, one day you'll be back. (and I'll be playing for you... not likely )

I was thinking "Aftermath" too. It will stink to see them go. I guess it's hard to say whether the NXL is going away, at least at the pro rankings. The PSP certainly does a lot of business with the lower divisions. Hopefully things will take off soon (financially) so Legacy can possibly make a comeback.

No, definitely not. Xball is expensive, but Xball Light is NOT a suitable replacement for it. IMO, this just goes to show that the entire paintball industry has to change. Paint needs to be MUCH cheaper. Every other sport has the initial cost, but they have no such massive subsequent charges. If paint were cheaper, then MANY more people would play and it would help the pros play more. If you look at this sport, the professionals don't make much money, and then a lot of that money goes straight back into paying for events. It's for this reason that my field sells paint for $35 CAD a case, and it gets people to leave other fields for his.

I don't really see paint getting cheaper anytime soon, not by a significant amount at least. People will tell you that it used to be much more expensive before, what was it, 25 cents per ball or something? 100 bucks a case? Well, I understand, but back then if you shot like 50 rounds in a day of play, you were shooting waay too much. Today I sometimes walk into the nets with almost a case in my pods for a single freaking game!! And sometimes I'll shoot it all too! We really need a change, some new technology, a variation of reballs or something! Anything to reduce costs a little bit...

Here in NZ xball bronze (which is crap by the time it's been shipped here) is $82USD a case. We're dying, big time. We had a whole lot mor players 5 years ago.

ultimate said they where staying though, which i belive is a bunch of bs because your losing legacy and ltz both of whom where strong teams at one time or another, yet ultimate has never won a match and has the honor of having the only shutout ever in the nxl
