Scuba tanks

have any of you tried buying a big scuba tank to fill up tanks?

what else do you need to buy to fill the tanks?

how many fills do you get from the scuba tank.

One of my friends has one and we get about 12 fills off of it. You need an air compressor to fill the scuba though. You also need a fill station to put on the scuba.

you can get scuba tanks filled at a dive store or at your local firestation. Any place that carys industrial welding equipment would probably be able to fill them as well.

yeah i bought one from the local scuba store. you have to buy a fill nozzle thing so you can conect the scuba and your tank. I cant get but maybe 5 fills. it is a 3k scuba and i have a 72ci 4.5k tank.

You should be getting more than 5 fills...

How a scuba tank works is the pressure equalizes between the two tanks. The amount of fills you get will vary and it depends on how often you "air up" and at what level psi your tank is at. The highest fill will be around 3000 psi and go down form there as the pressure decreases in the scuba.

Sure, even if you don't use the extra capacity now with the scuba there will come a time when you will use it.
