We spoke to all 3 members of Redline and they were unaware that this was a rookie/novice tourney; they have voluntarily withdrawn from the tourney this weekend. All three players had played at least (2) Division 1 events.
So were back to 14 teams? Yay for everybody else, lol. Anyway I just wanna wish everybody good luck, and to thank lonewolf for this tournament, if I don't say so myself, Eastern michigan has been lacking quite a bit on the tournament seen. Its seems as if everything is in central or western michigan. Anyway, I can't wait to see everybody there.
Good luck to everyone that is playing tomorrow! Don't forget, Saturday July 28th we are having tryouts for anyone that is interested in playing D3 X Ball at Cup. Tryouts will start at 10AM sharp and will cost $55 for playtime, air, and a case of paint. We already have a sponsorship lined up with Draxxus and all paint will be paid for at Cup. We are also in the process of working out a few more deals
Thanks to everyone that was there today, there really was an excellent turnout of players and supporters! There were a lot of really good games and I think a good time was had by all. Also, congratulations to the top four finishers in the event:
3rd Cash Money
4th Detroit Industry
We'll have some pictures of the tournament up soon courtesy of paintball photography .com's very own Matt Aman. If anyone is interested in buying any pictures from today's event, get ahold of Aman and he'll hook you up
We have a regular crowd of 30 ballers every Sunday...it's nice because games are running at all times and everyone gets ton of games in.
The tourney was great.....I met a lot of talented ballers from a lot of other local fields. We look forward to seeing you again in the near future.
Remember we will be having tryouts for our D3 X-Ball team on the 28th of July. I hope to see a lot of skilled ballers out there fighting for the 3-4 open spots....all we're looking for is some raw talant and committment. As mentioned earlier, Draxxus/Procaps has already committed to provide all paint free of charge for World Cup. In addition, there are additional discounts/sponsorship details that Joe and I are working out.
It's a mix of both....a majority of our x ball players don't really belong to a team....they play every weekend and some are pretty damn good....we do have a few teams that come out on a regular basis as well. Our house team, Fair Enuff, is out there every Sunday and hopefully will grow by 3-4 members after our July 28th tryout. Most of us played D2 XBall with Enemy so if you were to come out on any given Sunday you would get a great practice.
