Lightbulb crosman 3357 tip-

After putting barrels on a few 357's, they were still chopping paint like crazy.
Closer inspection revealed the cylinder needed to rotate just a lil bit more to line up dead-on with the barrel. Turns out I had to remove the little indexing arm
and file just a bit of material off the inside lower edge. It was actually stopping the cylinder from indexing all the way. Test fired this morning, and the thing was shooting darts! I can't believe how accurate it is. Before, even if it didn't chop paint, it was throwing curve balls. Must have been getting some wicked backspin from the cylinder being a little off. I never heard mention of this fix before, so maybe it'll help somebody having the same problem out there.

Can't wait for the next games, you know I'm going to have to use it as a primary once or twice.....

Another option is to swap in parts from an older 6 shot only crosman 357. The old 3357 was based off of the 6 shot model. It's the newer versions of the 357's ability to shoot the 10 shot cylinder that causes problems with the 3357 cylinders and barrels. I have a newer converted 357 and most of an older 357 (only missing the valve, needed that to restore a vintage 3357 that had a bad valve in it, that guns long since sold) that I'm going to combine parts with to make a functional new style 3357.

ah-hah

I didn't know the old 357's came with a 6 shot cylinder.
That explains things. I was scratching my head for a few days trying to figure
out what needed to be fixed, and I thought it might have had something to do with the 10 round rotation.
