Angry halo lid help?

ok so i dont use halos but my buddy's was broken so i told him id look at it and i just tore it apart to fix it, i got it working, but putting it back together i cant seem to get the spring on right... can anyone show or explain how to put the lid on correctly so it is still spring-loaded.
thanks.. might be a stupid question but oh well. i dont use halos

put the spring on the pin and put it in the hole.

Hard to explain, easy to do.

yeah, i kind of guessed that much, i did that but i dont see how i can set the spring so it can spring-load the lid... idk, its late and i havent slept in over 24 hours so maybe i just shouldnt have done it this late and im missing something obvious.

The spring will fit into the slot of th e right side (looking for the back of it). It should slide right into it.

yeah i dont see it.. i have the lid, the pin, and the spring. in three pieces. now. do i put the spring and lid on the pin and just slide it in. because thats what it sounds like all you're saying.. its not doing anything. i need sleep. im probably overthinking this and just doing something stupid. idk

on the left side of the shell there is a tear drop looking thing on it's side...where the spring goes the coiled end of the spring goes in there. Then the arm of the spring points towards the right shell.

You might need to poke it in place with the lid pin. Then hold the arm forward a little if it's newer and still stiff. Then slide the lid on so the arm is in front of it.
