I remember the vhs tape of the Ironmen playing woodsball probably the first one made. Wish I still had it. If I remember correctly Bob long was in it too ..Ill have to keep my eye one the antiques rodeshow maybe it will turn up soon.

yes bob long is in it, the 94 ironmen vhs tape, oldie but goodie! dave youngblood was shooting a chrome autococker, marty bush killing fools with a sniper 2 pump and clayton kyle was the only guy on the team with a nitrogen system lol

Everyone used to use CO2. It was the only choice back in the day. Compressed air & N2 have only been in paintbal for a little more then 10 years & the first systems were HUGE!!!

Bob was the team capt. was he not? Great player from my time. The goggles only, cockers with no electronics...and a pretty nice guy to boot.

35... I wanna meet this man soooo bad. I love all of the product dye makes, and it is amazing innovative on what this man and his team have created.

I do wish for a few things tho... I hope Dye sees this.

1.Pro teams too use Proto as a sponsor other then then just Dye so it can get more popular and people won't just say... "Oh its Proto and Not really Dye quality. That bugs me so much when people do that. lol

2.Dye's prices too be a little more flexible, but hey I guess that is what Proto is for. =].

3. I want some new innovative designs in their softgear like the other companies do like better venting in their jerseys... etc.

4.Proto too stay HIGH END in guns still! PLEASE.

5.Dye to make Paint. I am tried of Kees high Map prices and they own like 70% of the paint out there. Dye please start making paint, when you guys come as competition, You will make Kee lower paint prices. =]

6. Dye too come out with LED screens in UL frames and all them... UL OLEDS or something cool. OR UL-leds. I think paying these prices for high end guns we should get an OLED or at least and LED in the grip. I think this will make more Ego people go for Dye, As well as Add trainning modes too them.

I guess you'll have to put me on the list as a fan. I'm sitting in front of the computer yesterday thinking what ever happened to Dave D.... Youngblood. Great player when I played with him in the 80's Sporting a Chromed out Carter Comp Gun with dual CO2 tanks. A force to be reconed with, and lots of fun to harass. After not thinking about him for 20+ years I'm glad to see he has made a career of it!

at some point he was paintchek (Magazine) player of the year!

I played agenst him in 93 at the Mayhem masters in the UK, Dave was on team bo peep and his sheep, with a lot of star players. the 25 minute game 1o man ended in a draw. at that time i was playing for the zeroboyz. he was al dressed in black shooting that silver autococker!

guess what....I shot him that game!

Great to see Dave became so successful .

I was lucky enough to play him at his first Nationals Event back in 88.
He was on Sudden Death with Ricky Schroeder ( yes the actor ) , Russel Maynard, and a bunch of other big deal players of the time. They were the up and coming team.
We were the dark horse Annihilators of Florida. West Coast vs East Coast. It was intense every time we played each other, both teams came out at each other. So many other teams of the time liked to go slow and wait, neither of us did.
Seemed like every event after that we found ourselves having to go through the other to get to the finals.
Oh and those were 15 man teams with 45 minute time limits.
Good memories.

Meet him back when he just started DYE. Was at the zap open in pittsburg pa
I was walking around with my cocker and he asked to see it. He told me they had a problem with the thread and he put one in my gun and told me to shoot it and call him after playing and let him know how I liked it. It shoot great and I still have it and the cocker. Back then they were one piece and all black without any markings on it. Real nice barrel for free to a guy on a unknown team. Can't say I've ever met anyone cooler in 20years of paintball.
