The offspring of Tool

Tool spawned many songs and a few bands. Some examples are A Perfect Circle as well as many songs he did with Chino from Deftones. I love the song passenger, and have yet to hear other songs they did together.

Share your thoughts on A Perfect Circle and other works performed with/by Maynard.

I really like what the work APC did. some of it is much more calming but still the maynard lyric style. Hollow and track 5 (forget the name) are my favs, but the others are still good. i hope for a new APC album as well as another Tool album.

I am also patiently awaiting those albums.

Tool and Rage Against the Machine.

The word on the street is Maynard had something to do with RATM's Take the Power Back.

Well remember that APC is not Maynard's side project, he asked to be a part of the band. The only other person associated with Tool is the guitarist who I can't remember and he was a tech for Tool.

Tapeworm I believe is a collaboration of Maynard, Trent Reznor and a few others.

Also, download "Mohammed my friend" which was a duet done by Tori Amos and Maynard and is pretty good, although all these girls scream when Maynard sings.

Of course, Maynard is not the only one who has collaborated with other bands. Danny, Adam, Justin and Paul (Tool's first bassist) have all done work with other bands in some shape or form...

I believe he sang the bridge in "Know your enemy". You can here his distinctive yell of the word "pay" in the last line of the bridge around 3:06 in the song.

Maynard is so awesome, there aren't words to describe his work. Awesome guy.

The Replicants - Silly Love Songs
The Melvins - Divorced
Rage Against The Machine - Judgement Night
and of course anything with A Perfect Circle.
The one *SUPPOSED* song by Tapeworm I heard was pretty good too, but it's too soon to tell if they'll be good over all.

I can understand liking Tool more but I can't see how you'd like Tool and think APC was bad.

APC was it's own band with Tool's lead singer doing vocals. 3 Libras is a sweet song along with Judith. A want them to put out another record but it's been a while...

I realize that they're their own band, but you have to admit they have the same sort of style (obviouslly not exactly the same, but you get my point, right?)
My favorites are Hollow, Magdalena, Sleeping Beauty, and Thinking Of You.
And they're releasing a new CD pretty soon, they dropped their bass player (Paz) for someone else and another member got replaced or another one got added, I can't remember.

Pardon the pun, but you're a Tool.
