However, that's not really a compelling argument. I wasn't questioning or saying that I wished he would have died, I was stating that the timing was off in that shot and he should have turned around several seconds sooner to fill that plot hole. However, I realize that by not seeing the death it takes the whole "suspense" out of the movie.
Whatever Mr. Detective, just try to enjoy the movie.

I'm not going to see it... Detective... I'm pretty sure detectives might notice something a bit more complicated than a movie scene being off on the timing.

Never been a fan of John Cusack, especially lately, and I really dislike scary movies.

The story was good. The movie looks very good.

Not sure about John Cusack though.

It looked good origionally, but lately...idk...just looks cheesy.

It's starting to seem that the only way I am going to get a movie that is scary is to make it myself...

Film-school, here I come!

Wow, I just saw it tonight. And I can truthfully say that this is one of the only movies that has actually really scared me.

Other than when I was a child and Congo scared me.

But if you are into horror movies, I highly suggest seeing this movie.

I saw it and I thought it was pretty good. I don't know why but the ending to me was the scariest part.

I thought a more cryptic ending would've been better. Not one that shouted the ending in such a way that there was no give and take in it.

Spoiler: (Highlight this box to see the hidden message.)
I would've liked if they left it up to you to decide if it was all in his head or if it was real. the ending sort of ruined that for me.

Saw it last night, one of the best horror movies in a long time. I realize that this is starting to sound cliche, but Edward Norton wouldve been 100x better for John Cusack's part. The role just seems to fit him so well

i just got back from it. DAMN. i can say that this and the original exorsist are the only two movies that really made me scared, although in two different ways. the exorsist really sticks with you after the movie, and 1408 is a great thrill-ride, but it is yet to be seen how much sticks with me.

definatly $9 well spent.

edit: did anyone else see the preview for Joshua? that **** looks nuts.

I'm too afraid to see it, that **** looks crazy. Everytime the commercial came on where the little girl was like " daddy," then it turned into the ****ing devil voice and she said "don't you love me?" i had to turn it off, ****in' scary.
