help my legend is emo
Got my legend thursday and threw it on 25bps nxl full auto to see what shes got and it shot great (3 full halos, no breaks). I go to the field today, get loaded up, go on the field and shoot and it breaks in the breach. (on psp 15bps ramp). So I went cleaned everything, went back out and it chooped again...The paint fitted my bore & the paint was a little brittle but no one else was chopping at all using timmys, shockers, DM's ect.. I had just changed the battery and lubed the ram. Is it possible that the gun could be shooting a high velocity out of the box? (like high enough to break the paint on contact) Is the bolt suppose to be completely flush with the breech? (putting my finger down the feedneck into the breach i can feel the bolt a little.)

You should be able to feel the tip of the bolt in the breach, that is normal. Read the manual and do what they say to try and fix your problem.

Anythings possible but that could be a reason why.. your hpr should be at 200-220 or somewhere close to that.. but yea check to see what yours is

hard meaning brittle?
glen reccomends high dwell and low pressure for brittle paint
and low dwell and high pressure for better efficiency (but thats tougher on paint)

i have mine at 11. But as you stated, it could have been simply the fact that the hpr was too high. I do know however that my legend was shooting vein perfectly when rails and eteks were destroying it

Remember, the legend has no LPR. This means that the higher you HPR is set, the more force there is behind the bolt. That means harder on paint. If you have brittle paint, your only option is to raise your dwell and run lower pressure. This goes for almost any gun really. You can also try a larger barrel bore and of course if you have a hopper with adjustable force, turn that down as well.

if you have the New Internals, the stock Dwell Setting should be 8. thats what the tech at WS:LA told me.
