Freak Kit, you like?

How do you guys like your kit so far? It would be nice to match my paint, but is that absolutely necessary?

No, its not absolutely necessary. Bore sizing your paint isn't going to turn your gun into a sniper rifle, but it can change shot characteristics such as sound and consistency...and if chosen right can drastically improve aesthetics.
Freak kits are just fine and very affordable. I personally run a deadlywind carbon fibur x barrel that uses the freak inserts... Highly recommended and less than the (New) price of a freak jr kit minus the extra insert. You don't need the whole range of sizes though. Maybe 3-4 inserts ranging from .680-.690.
If your stock barrel is lame, loud or just big bored and you are on a budget might take a look at the Deadlywind Null. It is a straight .688 bore and does not use inserts.

So far? You make it seem like they were just released. Lol.

But like the other guy said, they are great and do help, but are they absolutely neccessary? No.

i just got my kit the other day and was able to use it once so far. Under-boring 3 to 4 thousandths did help with accuracy and consistency but I did bust a couple of balls in thousand rounds I shot that day. HTH

I prefer barrels with longer control bores as the freak inserts are just too short. Also the freak inserts are not true to size at all I would assume this is because of poor quality control and the aluminum is very thin so it wouldn't be a shock if they bend just slightly.

they're so good that multiple companies use the insert design on there barrels, including stella.

Get a deadlywind or freak barrel, buy a couple inserts and shoot fools all day
