how do you leave feedback or get feed back if you used the WTB forum and did not have a BST thread?

*sigh*

I have a feeling Im going to be getting a bunch of PMs this week. Itll be a late night, gotta convert all the old feedback (90+). I know I dont have to, but to use only one thread for feedback will be more convenient.

A couple questions:

1) We will only be allowed one item per bst thread?

2) Can we receive/leave feedback for transactions that have taken place months/years ago?

3) You say all you need to do is post in the thread to be able to leave and receive feedback, whats to stop multiple people from posting and leaving false feedback? Can only one person leave feedback in your thread (assuming you can only have one item)?

Sorry if that was confusing in any way

So once we leave feedback for someone... Will it alert them to leave feedback for us? Or do we have to notify them and tell them to leave us some?

Do you not see the "Leave feedback for seller" link? I do.. Does it give you an error when you click on it?

I've been on PbNation for years and am one of the highest feedback rated traders on PbNation. I like the idea of the new "ebay" like feedback setup.

I have one problem that has not been talked about. You are allowed to convert your feedback from the old to the new? I don't believe this is a good idea because you give the illusion of up to 2X the feedback you have already received? How does that make any sense?

For example:

A: Me - A long time member and trader of the site with moderate selling all through out the time I"ve been on the site.

and

B: New hot shot - A person that joined within 1 year ago and has had monster sales throughout.

If we both say had 500 feedback.. he has the chance to convert all 500 of his feedback making his feedback seem to be in the 1000 range combined.

I on the other hand can only convert some of my feedback since most is old and threads forgotten. Leaving me with say half at most .. 750?

I know there is not an easy fix to this problem.. I just don't think you should be able to "convert your feedback" unless its really a convert and not a DOUBLE feedback like it seems to be now.

Good Idea, Poorly Done. Just my 2 cents.

I think it's too much of a hassle to leave even 1+ feedback. Especially when I have threads to find that I'm not sure even if they exist anymore. Probably 1/4 if not 1/2 of all my sales where done through PM's.

But I think I have found a flaw in the system. The B/S/T rules did suggest to PM the threadstarter ( seller ) instead of posting. But if deals done through PM's are not eligible I think that it was a waste of time making this new system...

edit - I know our old feedback threads still count as valid feedback, but it seems like having a feedback thread and the new feedback system is a pain.

We chose to allow it since we really can't police it. It's up to the sellers to be choosy and look at the number of transactions, their type and how long ago they took place and make a decision based on that.
