dont knwo much about the g3 but the fusion is very good on air. Also there are no "necessary" upgrades...right out of the box the fusion shoots very well.

My G3 isn't as hot on air but I'm still braking it in. I don't have any real noticeable kick even at dwell 12.
As with the Fusion there really isn't any need for upgrades but I put a CP on my G3 to make sure I don't have to deal with the piston problem that I've seen a lot of people having due to over pressurizing their reg. It is pretty easy to do.
Go to pbreview.com and look in the review tab and stickies for more information.

great guns, fusions are great on air while g3's are a little less efficient. It's pretty much the normal differences in spooly and poppit style guns. There is no bad kick but the g3 will be less than the fusion. No need for upgrades but there are a few out there if you desire them. They are very reliable guns and have great company support behind them so your set.

since every one covered performance . i just want to add that the quality is excellent for a mid level marker. they look and feel more expensive than they are . unlike some markers in there price range that need either a feedneck or made of some composite material.

Well my F8 is barely getting 1000 per 68/4500. I still haven't broken it in though. But that figure still seems pretty ****ing low...

yea i have a fusion and its the most air efficient gun I've shot so far and the G3 is obviously a lot lighter, but either way they're both great guns that need very little if any upgrades. As mentioned above DP's customer service is top notch. GL getting back into the best sport ever

I totally agree. The gun is just made better than some of the markers that cost 3-4 times as much. I love my F7, and I can trouble shoot pretty much everything with the gun within 5 minutes total while at the field in the rare case something does happen to it. My reg is super consistant...last time I played I was getting +/-2fps with DXS Bronze that was over a month old. You just cant beat that!

Good guns really really outperform the entire segment in their price range.
