DM6 Cycling Through Boot-Up

Hey all,

Just getting back into the game and picked up a DM6 with I believe a virtue board. Looked like it had a low battery so I picked up a new battery (blinking blue) but that didn't seem to get me anywhere. Looking at the DM6 Manual it mentions if it sticks in the boot cycle with a blue blinking light and never turns on it could be that the button pad may need replaced. I wouldn't even know where to begin with that quite honestly, and wanted to know if anyone could offer any other suggestions to try. Any help is appreciated! Thanks!

If they reference the button pad, you might try loosening the screws that hold the board in the frame, push the board forward slightly, and tighten the screws while doing so.

There's a bit of play room in there, maybe the board is so far back that the button doesn't operate properly.

You are sure it's a Virtue board?

True, I forgot there was "blinking" and "flickering" with those.

Is it blinking, or flickering?

Thanks for the advice! It is definitely an on/off blink of the blue light with nothing currently in the breach.

I have one of these boards and its definitely more of a flicker than a blink.

does the solenoid click? You could have bad eyes

Got home and played around with it a little bit. I did the above suggested with the board and things seemed to snug up a bit. It does now however turn solid blue when I test it chamber. The manual indicates that solid blue is boot sequence? But it seems maybe with the previous comments regarding the flickering blue means it is ready to fire and solid blue is detecting something in the breach? Maybe everything is fine then and the manual doesn't quite pertain?

I do apologize for more ignorance and wish I could test it, but I would feel a little embarrassed driving all the way down there to be like uhh...I need to see if my gun like, works? XD

Virtue LED boards don't have a boot sequence. Once you turn it on it should be ready to go.

If you have a pre-Redefined Virtue board a solid blue LED means the eyes are on & tripped. If they are on but not tripped the LED will be solid red. Flashing blue is an eye malfunction. Flashing red means your eyes are off.

If you have a Redefined Virtue board flickering blue means the eyes are on & tripped. Flickering red means the eyes are on but not tripped. Flashing red means your eyes are off. Flashing blue means eye malfunction.
