(or whatever my boss did) you will never have a problem with it anway. and its your call. I love my etek, ever sence my boss updated the regs (dont ask what he did bc i dunno), and put a new nodi in it. i have never had a problem with mine. but its really up to you if its worth it. to me i would do it. but then again. i aint you.

kk well my boos hes certified pe tech. Me and the 3 other kids with eteks who play snake keep gittin dirt into the noid. well he got these new noids that have a stampseal instead of whatever the ones that come stock are. so it cant get dirt in it.. he got pissed bc hes had to clean our noids abotu everytime we play and finally one day mine wouldnt stop leakin nomadder what so he said hed put the new and improved one in... hasnt leaked yet. nor got dirt in it. aand i emailed robert about what he meant by updatign the regs. bc all i know is he changed parts.... but i dunno exactly what he changed.

the only way to get dirt in the stock noid is to get it in your air system....its completely sealed.
as far as i know there is no aftermarket alternative, very curious to find out what you have in there
