Far as I know, the Proto Matrix line started with the PM5. There was a DM3 (basically an eye equipped Gen-E Matrix LCD), and a DM4 (the first of the Dye designed Matrix markers), but no PM4.
The PM5 may well have become available at the end of the '04 season, but it was part of the '05 product line up, and named accordingly.

Actually there was a 04 proto. I swear remembering players at my feild using them back in 04, and they are even advertised in my 04 APG magazines. It was known as the biggest gas hog next to the freestyle. Then the 05 came out, and so on...

Strange, no mention of it on the dyematrix.com web page - earliest version they mention, and the earliest version I have ever come across myself, is the PM5. No mention of a PM4 in the Dye forum FAQ here, nor on matrixowners.com.
Google brings up a few hits, but they are mainly people on forums asking to trade for one and being offered lots of PM5s instead, and a few people asking if there is such a thing as a PM4 (and generally being told there isn't).
I could be wrong, but I honestly think that people are referring to early PM5s as PM4s - much like the '05 Angel Speed was actually released in September 2004, but it is still considered the '05 model. The first review of the PM5 posted on PBReview is dated October 2004, which would seem to support this theory.
I was going to download your PM4 and PM5 manuals, and see if it was the same manual, but both links are dead.

Ya, I know what ya mean, even the alias is suppose to be a 04 marker, and everyone now days seem to refer it to a 05.
Hmm, I guess this is a mistake in my agp magazine. Its a spring issue 2005 mag, and it says PM4 with the pic of a blue proto and black fade. My 04 mags only show dm4's. The angel speed 4 is glamorized alot in this issue, lol.
I too am not getting any definitive results in my searches. I just remember one rec player in particular getting the proto when it came out, but maybee it was in early 05. Oh well, Uzi-1 AK-0, but only for now

I think APG are in some kind of time warp - I don't buy it myself, so only have other people's word for this, but it got pointed out to me yesterday that they apparently have an article in the latest issue announcing the release of the Smart Parts Epiphany..... Just after it has been discontinued and replaced by the EOS!

The chip will have more of an effect on the programing than the board itself..... Although hopefully the board has the required number of DIP switches to use all the features of the board..... Other than that, the chip is the controlling factor.
This is I believe the manual for your chip: -

Do you know which firmware version you have? There have been a few different versions of the Infamous board.
In any event, the manuals are linked to in android's original post, listed as the Tadao Intimidator board, M3, M5 or M6.

Does the pm lucky board use a chip? If so, you need to find out which because I already have all the manuals that I could find online for the chips.

If no-one can turn one up for you (I've had no luck yet), try e-mailing paintballsolutions.com - they work closely with Empire and may be able to get you one.
