god created the universe?

So youre saying that god made the universe, or just all our planets and earth.

dude, each star is a sun with its own solar system.

just like ours, our sun is a star, all the other stars have their own solar systems,

so we cant be the ONLY life forms in the universe

Your logic is horrible, but statistically life one other planets does exist, it's just a matter of finding them.

I think he was making a snide comment at your name, (incorrectly assuming an "Arabic" nationality)

Your logic for the forums sucks. But I know where you're coming from, yet it seems very likely that there are other life forms out there. I don't think a Christian would be able to believe that unless Jesus also visited that place? Not sure, it's been a year since I've been a Christian. Don't remember lol

nope. I am a Christian and I don't have any problem with believing in other life forms. This has been in other threads. Some people that are Christian may not believe in extraterrestrial life, but that doesn't mean all of Christianity has that kind of "theology".

I know. I was just curious what Christians thought. So does god prevent those over life forms from evolving...oh wait...I guess that isn't a problem Just kidding with ya. But seriously, do you [anyone] believe that the life forms are just simple bacteria, or possibly full-blown creatures? After all the only reason we're here (from my PoV) is because of whatever wiped the dinosaurs out, bringing up the smaller mammals eventually leading to us.

I tend to believe they aren't sentient. but I will not completely discount it.

in an area of space is infinate, is it logical to think that a never ending area filled with infinate galazies, stars systems ect, that some form of life couldnt be found els were? we found bactieria on mars, this in time if it would have survived could have evovled over millions/ trillions of years, into some sort of intelegent life..

According to modern physics the universe is not infinite; at this point the universe is constantly expanding.

However the concept of multiple universes is being heatedly debated.

What would Christians say to the discovery of sentient life elsewhere? I mean, would they think that Jesus visited that planet as well? Why would Jesus only visit earth if God created other worlds with other people/sentient beings? What would be the Christian explanation? I'm curious to know, not to criticize.

The idea for most Christians is that in creation, man is the pinnacle or golden crown of creation, so it would be a unique creature or culmination of God's handcraft. All the traits/qualities of humans that we look for in other planets (sentient beings) would be then exclusive to earthlings or humans created by God. However, the Bible does not mention life anywhere else, nor does it exclude it.

Simply, there is not enough information. It is open to discussion and a fascinating concept to discuss at that.

My aunt and uncle are extremely religous.. I was just talking with them once a few years back and somehow I brought up the word cavemen. And they are like you can believe in cavemen and dinosaurs if you want, but according to God Man was the first creature. This blew my mind... they don't think that dinosaurs ever existed even though there are tons of fossils, they don't think that humans have ever evolved. I asked about the fossils and they said god planted them in the ground to test peoples faith.. i just laughed.+
