i like 7 man but idk if there are gonna be enough people in this area to make a 7 man open possible. maybe i'm wrong. i could see a three or 5 man open but the 7 man might have to be a lower division to get enough teams to get any kind of decent prizes. there just aren't that many people in the area that are higher than d2. i'm just gonna hold out for 7 man for when the xpsl comes. that might get the seven man thing kicked off in this area.

rumor has it that tomorrow the announcment will be made the the nppl will be coming to kansas city. i have it on pretty good authority that it will take place at kemper arena. that means that an xpsl event should hit harrisonville a month before that.

I believe Nelson is correct...from talking to other field operators/tournament coordinators...usually 5 and 7 man tourneys are hard to get a good turn out...vs a 3 man - hence the reason for so many 3 man tourneys in this area. I'd really like to do a 5 man, but if it had a 12+ team turnout...which sometimes is hard around here...much less a 7 man!.. Sure you would get 6+ teams to register but how likely is it that near 20 teams will show like the 3 man?

I would suggest mixing it up among 3 man tourneys...one open..one rookie/novice (D3 and lower) or 3 man young guns sub-events within one big event... That might work..or I've seen some 3man mechanical tourneys listed lately...that would be cool..no electro markers...

placed 11th or 12th intheir novice division. top 8 went to semi's. as far as the 5 man format goes, best league i've ever played in.
