BT Mods

A couple of questions.

Does a BT combat have the same thread as an A-5?

I was wondering if you can put 98 custom stuff (bolts, R/T, ect.) in a BT-4 Comabt?

Also Does anybody know if there is any mods (homemade and such) other than a pen spring mod that can be done to your gun?
PEN SPRING MOD:http://www.******************/tippman...spring-mod.php
P.S. pen spring owns! especially with a double trigger!

thanks,

98 custom: http://www.tippmannparts.com/downloa...omdiagram2.jpg = 21parts.
BT-4 Combat: (could'nt find an online diagram used my manuel) = 74 parts
the 98 is so simple in the BT-4 bolt, ram (the whole thing that makes the ball go) there is 22 parts.
It doesn't seem like it would accept 98c parts.

The 98c internals (front bolt, powertube, Valve, rear bolt...ect) will work in a BT-4. If you change out the powertube or valve for a 98c one, you will have to drimmel off the nub. Also if you use a 98c powertube you must use a 98c rear bolt. the BT-4 rear bolt is slightly larger in diameter than the 98c rear bolt, which can crack the 98c powertube.
Ive never seen a Ebolted BT-4. thought about doing it once but changed my mind. Im just going to put a Spyder Pilot frame on it, buy a T-board & run eyes.

maybe its just something about the stock BT-4 PT. I had trouble with mine & heard of other people having the same problems.

Could well be Ive also heard several ppl post this when using a 98C plastic PT and i fully expected to have it with the Billet one, but after putting 4500 rounds thru her using an Egrip and not one misfire or miscock i have to say its not an issue for me anyway

Yes BT has their own mods, but you can use any A5 barrel system, use OPSGEAR 98C body mod kits and 98C rear stocks. Note if your marker, like the BT, comes with weaver/picatinny rails, you can mount any "real" gear on it. Scopes, Sights, tac lights, vertical grips, MG-20 mag holders can all be used and found at your local gun shop. Real gun parts are usually cheaper than paintball specific marker parts. I am still confused why some people say the BT is not upgradeable..I say it is more so than A5 or 98C. You can see my two modded Assaults at the BT Warrior website.
