Rumor has it...
PBDojo claims that Elite hopes to sell their pro spot. Any response to these claims?

LP runs PbDojo.
Unless it's a joke, I'd assume it's true.

The only way we would get rid of our pro spot is if we can't get a commitment from the players we want. As of right now, we are doing what we can to get the right personnel to fill our pro roster.
Some people knew what happened to us in Tampa. Lil John, one of the guys I consider to be a core player for Dallas Elite didn't show up to the event... we just found out when we got to Florida a couple of days before the event... no explanations from LJ or anything. I would rather not get into details but made the decision to move up to Pro based on the commitment our players gave the team after HB. This left us with having to pick up someone at the event. It's hard enough for a 1st year pro team to compete in this division but losing a player who we've been practicing with since the team's conception a couple of days before our first pro event is even tougher. To make it worse, JB got hurt and was unable to continue to play the rest of the tournament. But with the cards we were dealt, we made the best out of it... we lost 5, stalemated 2 (even though we did shoot all 7 with not enough time to hang the flag against XSV and New England), and won our game against Impact. But no excuses.... we still didn't play to our full capabilities.
Anyways... we will always do what's best for the team. As of now, we are keeping the pro spot and will try to fill the necessary spots to stay competitive. If we can't, then we'll do whatever it takes to not lose the pro spot... even if it means selling it.
Thanks for everyone's concerns and for your continued support.

I know you guys aren't selling it. How much does a pro- spot cost? I know you guys will create a dominate team. GL at event #3.

when will you know if you can get the right people or not, is there a deadline somewhere between now and the next NPPL? How many teams are really interrested in buying your spot? good luck in the future.

Stay off drugs, it kills your brain. Rich would rather sell their pro spot and get some of their cash back rather than just play and lose their spot and get zero dollars back on their investment.

AS I SAY AGAIN, learn to read
actually learn context clues,
he is not saying that would their spot is a last resort, he is saying they WONT sell, that wouldnt even make any sense to say that

Ultrasport seems correct. To not lose the spot to a semi-pro team, they would sell it. That sentence contruction is simple, that they will do whatever it takes to not lose the spot (i.e, to a semi-pro team), even if that means selling it. That means selling it is a legitimate possibility. It does make sense, because if they stay in and lose the spot anyway to a semi-pro team they lose the cash associated with the spot, and that is never a good thing. If they sell it to a team looking to come together in the pros, or something of that nature, the spot could stay in the pros and all is well.
That said, it would be sad for you guys not to put together a roster good enough to compete. Good luck gents.

Context clues, wow. Its just English, a basic statement that you are trying to turn around. Oh well, no problems here, good luck in high school.

When I read it, I read it as:
"If we don't place well enough a certain number of times, the Pro spot will not be pro, anymore. We'll do anything to keep this particular spot in the Pro ranks, even if it means selling it to a team that may finish consistently well-enough to do so."
But, maybe that's just me.

The name doesn't really mean anything except to represent the team. Elite's spot was Arsenal, last season, if I recall correctly.
