hey guys at our weekly bible study we talked about the rapture and death and stuff like that. well the question was, Are you ready to die and Do you think that u are going to heaven or hell. so i was wandering if u are ready. plz vote in my poll

I don't believe in eather however....

If one exists at all, Hell FTW and I will gladly stand at the fallen angels side, and help his armies crash the gates of heven and slay the faithful untel the heavens run with rivers of blood...

(kinda poetic don't you think?)

because all the good people will be in hell, all my friends, my loved ones, all the hindu and budests. Hell is going to be one big party.

Actually heaven sounds dull. Why would you want to be a slave to an egomaniac? Don't think for yourself if you go to heaven, or else you will be cast out.

IIRC, in Revelation, it says that (I believe) Peter is holding down Satan in Heaven. Or so my dad and Pastor Arnold Murray tell me. So, once he busts out of jail, I'll be with OB

Think about it, think about who is in hell(going on the asumption it exists at all), some of the greatest wariors and leaders the world has ever seen.

If there is a hell, I'll probably head down there when the clock strikes death. But i don't believe in religion, so the only place I'm sure of going when i die is into the ground.

lol i dont think any human being is completely and 100% ready to die no matter how prepared he or she may feel ( myself included) we all fear for the consequences of our actions and the results in the end

I disagree.

I have no fear of death, nor do I think alot of Buddhists would. Fear it or not, it's inevitable. Learn to truly accept it as an inevitability, and what is there to fear?

i see what your saying but the point what i was trying to make was as follows, i dont fear death ( I only fear God) and the rememberance and contemplation of death was something that my Prophet ( Peace Be Upon Him) stressed

what i was trying to point out was that even if man was tied up to rail road tracks hed still try to escape or call for help before realizing his inevitable doom

or if a man was about to strike him with a knife . He would still try to evade or disarm the man other than just allowing him to stap him

No I understand your point completely, I thought it was an insightful post.

But the examples you speak of are someone who still has hope. Without any hope of an alternative, there is acceptance and there is peace. There is no more conflict, nor desire to avoid death. It's going to happen, there isn't a shred of me that thinks I will live forever, and I've accepted that and become free of the fear of death as a result. Fear is a trigger to get you into avoidance mode, or to prepare you for the conflict to overcome your adversary. There is no avoidance of death, nor any triumph over it. I'll be dead, and I'm alright with that.
