Search... This has been asked 65394216 times.

But PE recommends HP. I use a LP nitroduck and it works fine.

Personally I run a low pressure Crossfire tank. To fully answer your question we woud need to know the tank your buying. If your gonna buy a PE tank, Java tank, or any other not so reputable tank...I'd say go high pressure with out a doubt.

If your going to buy something along the lines of Crossfire, Dye, Guerrila Air, Nitroduck, MacDev...then either low or high will work fine. These companies, as well as others, are known for there recharge rates so with ever you choose will perform great without a doubt.

With 2-3, I can't remember, PE tanks I have experienced shoot down do to there less than par recharge rates on the tank regulator. Just for your reference.

That's kind of running right on the line. I've never used an Air America, but I hear their recharge rates are not that great so you might have problems using a low pressure air america. If you have the "ScrewN Air System" that might not be so great. the "Apocalypse 2K Air System" and "Armageddon Air System" have better with recharge rates, and would probably keep up. It depends which Air America system you have.

Personally, I use a crossfire Stubby Tank Low pressure, and it works fine.

crossfire and macdev low pressure tank regs can keep up with hp guns, but with many other manufacturers, you will starve your gun and start to see inconsistancy.
