NE Summer Event

SATURDAY JULY 28. Del Hobbies Paintball, Pedricktown, NJ. This is the only date that won't conflict with PSP, GPL, and NPPL. And having it on Saturday allows people to practice Sunday with their PSP teams for PSP event the next weeked. Deadline to "register" is July 13 (Friday). The captain of each school please let me know how many people you're bringing so we can put the schedule together.

Free entrance, paint at $41 a case and below (Field paint only), x-ball lite format, everyone will play somewhere around 4-5 matches. Alumni and high school teams welcome also. Paint will be from KEE (Evil/RPS/Empire) and will be discounted. This would be a good oppurtunity for Class AA teams to try X-Ball and for Class A teams to scrim. Layout will be River City Open.

Two options for teams:
1) Allow teammates to stay together - good practice/tryout for your next year's roster.
2) Streetball, teams formed from picking names out of a hat - would be fun to play with people you don't normally play with.

sounds like a good idea. only problem would be is that some guys go home for the summer, so teams might have a problem getting enough players to come out.

We'd have trouble pulling everyone together and then getting rides.... But sounds like it might be fun.

I like the idea, but like the nay sayers above me it'll be difficult to pull off. If it does fall through I'm still down for a scrim this summer.

Entrance is going to be FREE!
The only expense would be paint which was quoted @ $40 per case for middle grade stuff. The guys at Dels said they would have a few paint options at different price points available, so whitebox would probably be cheaper than $40..etc

Understandably it might be difficult to have your entire lineup come up to this event since its during the middle of summer vacation for many schools. However since the event isn't sanctioned it wouldn't be a problem to substitute a player or two for someone outside of the NCPA.

We'd like to get a body count of what teams are strongly considering coming out. So if thats you, post up and make yourself heard.

XBall lite as in like, first to 5, PSP D3 style?

If so, you only need probably 7 guys to play, even tho the is scattered around for the summer I'm pretty sure I can round up 7 or 8 of them to play.

Hell at 40 a case and free entry, its probably gonna be cheaper than a normal day of practice for most people and better/more games/more competitive games.

Truth to that. And if everyone wants, we can do 3 minute pit times to keep everyone a bit more relaxed and give more time between points. And Alex Potato, they are expecting you to come with your computer score keeping wizardry.

Yea D3 style.

And it will be a great oppurtunity to practice, every school should be practicing over the summer, or at least have a couple big practices.

Plus I shall be there, so you can bask in the glory that is Deimus.

I don't ever remember agreeing to such things. I must be getting forgetful in my old age.
