cfoa gun cheching

does the cfoa check every gun for bounce? and do they make you pac time it?

Bounce is pretty much irrelevant since CFOA allows PSP ramping. I've never been/never seen them check for bounce(in the last 2 years anyway). As far as Pact timing, they've got good ears and if they think you sound fast, they'll check you. You'd be surprised at how your ears get tuned to the sound of 15bps.

Edit: If you want to check your gun prior to your games, they're pretty cool about letting you. Just ask the head ref of the field you're getting ready to play on.

Bounce is illegal. If you gun is running away on the trigger it doesn't matter if your under 15bps they will still give you a gun penalty. Happened to a player on our team in Georgia.

if you are bouncing. you should fix it, unless you are capped at 15, otherwise i dont see how it would matter.....

if your gun is bouncing under 15 bps you definetley are going to want to make sure that the first three shots dont bounce.

Here is the rule of thumb:

First three shots should be semi auto, after that you should only have 3 balls per trigger pull, so if you are bouncing more than 3 balls per pull, than the gun is illegal and you will be penalized. When refs have come across a gun shooting, let's says 4-5 shots per trigger pull, players have been penalized accordingly.

I personally see no advantage to a marker that bounces...what are some advantages....CFOA rules below...

TEST 1 - Mechanical Bounce - Markers will be tested for mechanical bounce by a bumping or jarring of the marker. Markers will be bumped on the tank or hopper. No contact will be made with the trigger. The marker will be deemed to have mechanical bounce if the marker fires more than once during the bump test.

b) TEST 2 - Electronic Bounce - Markers will be tested for electronic bounce by shooting the marker. The marker trigger will be firmly pulled 3 consecutive times. During these 3 pulls, the marker may only fire 3 shots. Any marker that produces more than 3 shots on the 3 pulls will be
deemed to have electronic bounce.

TEST 4 - “Runaway Guns” - All markers will be checked for “runaway” triggers. The marker will be fired rapidly. The testing judge, while rapidly firing the marker will suddenly cease to pull the trigger. Any marker that continues to fire while the trigger is NOT being pulled will be deemed to be a “Runaway Gun” and will not be allowed on the field.

On Ego7's PSP is 3 semi and 4 shots. IDK why, but I don't see people getting checked. It's the stock board so i'm pretty sure everyone has this problem.

If a ref has any reason to believe your gun is bouncing, shooting hot, or shooting fast, they will check it. 2-4 guns are chronoed per game regaurdless.

A teammate has an o7 ego that is checked after every game. The reffs will swear that it is too fast (bps). SO he started getting them to check it before every game.

same problem here...on my 07 ego.... i had my gun set to 15.4 and was crono'd at 15.9.....then at dixie cup it was set to 15.0 and was cronoed at 15.6....then at tarheel it was at 14.7 and was cronoed at 15.4.....so i dont know that the problem with the stock board is...but its costed my team 2 semi finals because of messed up board...

i dont know about the board prob but the refs seem to check the egos more because they are louder than the other guns on the field and they can hear them more my teammates 07 ego was getting checked every game for awhile till the refs decided it was just loud

most after market boards shoot full auto if you pull it every 2 seconds or so not 3 per trigger pull

my team had all egos last year and about 3-4 of our guns would be checked every game but never got a penalty they do sound faster though
