1) stick to something more low-tech...like an ion or spyder...aka...dont get the fusion as a first marker.

2) as for a tank...you are completely misinformed about compressed air tanks...go to the air system sub forum on PBN

3) SEARCH!!!!!!!!!!!

get something more low-end, like a tippmann. It'll teach you respect for the higher end markers, teach you some tech basics (like "if your field doesn't have compressed air or nitrogen, you can't use a Fusion anyway") and people won't hate you for being another clueless noob with a fancy marker that can't turn the thing on without asking someone else (those are really annoying and you don't want to be one).

Anyway, welcome to paintball, and hopefully you take it as a sport and constant learning experience, and you're able to stay in it for the long haul.

i'm playing with an A-5 and I've been playing for 4 months, now i'm shooting up the tournament teams at my field (yes, i'm ballin up with a tippman)

I'd start with an A-5 and then graduate to something more "high end"

(but first you need to start by finding a field with compressed air refils)

yeh, a-5's are probably the best beginner-tippman speedball gun because they're fast, and mine got burried in the ground (don't ask) and after 5 minutes viciously squirting a spray bottle, it was ready for the next game

good luck!

a stock a-5 is in no way fast but they are the toughest/most reliable gun you can find

i like to call them "the AK-47 of paintball markers"

are you joking! (well i guess i have fast fingers... cause i play piano etc..)

but i can knock out 12 bps on it, that's GREAT for a tippman/starter gun i mean... i think most spyders can only go 10 and they have to be electronic to do that

and with a double trigger i can do 26 lol... so i guess I just have fast fingers

i borrowed a friend's gun for the double trigger...

and i don't think it's impossible but that's an exaggeration.. it's more like 9-10..

sorry.. but I can definitely knock out 9... 10 on a good day and It's not impossible to get 12 on an A-5, i could probably do it easily if I got a double trigger

i could get 14 on a double trigger but you would have to be high on PCP or something to get that fast

No, you're not shooting 26 on semi. I can tell you that for sure.

raistlinaed....it is physically impossible to sustain 26 bps on semi. period.

thats just physics.... although i believe someone ever reached was 30....but dont quote me on that...but you still wont be able to hold it consistantly...not even 20 consistantly.no matter how much piano...bass...fingering on your girlfriend you do...you will not be able to achieve that speed....fastest i have ever shot was 18...i currently hold down 15 consistantly.

so raist, dont sound like such a queef and flame people for proving you wrong.

thank you.

The 20-25 area only seems to be possible with the three finger technique. ITs really hard to get 18-19 consistently with two fingers.

You guys get back on topic.. The Fusion is not a complicated gun. And as for a starter gun you could get a Fusion if you know how the gun works. To who posted above about getting a ION,, thats nuts to get a ION for a first gun. I would honestly do like others said and get a Tippmann. My recommendation would be a Custom Pro. I still have one of the first ones and I still love it.. BUT it shoots 25bps!!!
