My parents think I am a raging alcoholic

Yesterday was my last day of the semester. I was at school from 10 AM until 4, then I worked 5-11. So i was busy all day.

I watch the Sopranos on Wednesday (repeats of the old episodes on A&E). they show 2 a night, and normally its on from 9-11:30. But I was at work and forgot to record it. So I then found out that they show re-runs from 1-3:30. So I decided to watch that (i have nothing going on today, so I could sleep in).

Anyways, I drank like 6 beers last night, just by myself chilling watching tv. I mean it was the end of the school year, celebrating that, and I start summer session on Monday with early classes so im not gonna be able to drink much at all for the next 3 weeks or so. At like 3:15 my Mom comes down and completely flips out on me. And since then they have been talking about me like i got some problem...

but I really dont. I mean I drink 3-4 times a week usually, but w/e im in college and its at partys and **** like that. I drink alone once in a while when i am bored also (once a week roughly), but dont get trashed or nothing. And I am 20.

What should i do if anything? My dad understands i think, but my mom is crazy about this **** (her father is like 80 and drinks a lot and has forever)

No, her father is like 80, meaning the poster's grandfather.

Read, Comprehend. His mom's father is 80.

Anyway, you do drink a lot. Technically, you probably do have a problem, but if it's not hurting your schoolwork or your everyday life, I don't think it's too big of a deal. How about don't drink at your parent's house, and they won't know?

My mom would be the same but she's just being a parent. It sucks but you probably won't change her attitude towards it.

I'm just saying that I don't see the point behind it. That's my own take on it.
