3.5 on an illy

Anyone ever run a 3.5 CO2 on an Illusion in a vertical position? I tried it but can't screw it on because the burst disc assembly hits the triggerguard. Just wondering if someone has done any modding to get it to work.

Cheers!

yes. you have to get an asa extender. palmers makes them. i got a crossfire one from my local proshop. you screw this in and then it allows you to screw in your smaller tank without a problem. good luck.

Cooper-T also used to make an excellent extender. Poke around the web and you should find one. Instead of looking for an adapter, I just keep running 12g's on mine.

20 shots? That's it? I usually get 30 good shots at least on a 12ie.

Whoa! Only 20? There is a trick to tuning them for 12g's. Turn your FPS adjustment screw so that your speed is as low a you can get it, then slowly adjust it until the proper FPS is reached. It sounds simple, but helps greatly. Mine has no volumizer and gets between 35 and 40 good shots. per 12g
