The question of how do I make my gun cycle ___ times a second has been asked a couple times recently. That should help out in that respect

i have a stock board, sp qev, lucky stage 1 v3 bolt,

does that make any difference in what settings i should put it to to get max rof

because i dont feel its getting 17 bps in rebound and i bought it used so idk if me messed with the dwell or not...

what should i set it to

Hey I'm having difficulties setting my sp-8 up. I have 360qev, fire bolt, black heart board, kila dentents, freak kit. I'm trying to find a good dwell and rof set up before our tourney next weekend. I've been messing with it but always have a fairly large drop off...Also when i chrono its always inconsistent. Any ideas?

If you have drop off and inconsistant velocity raise your dwell a couple of blinks and check it over a chrono. Repeat this until you are pleased with your results, a higher dwell will lower your efficiency, but if you want consistncy you need a higher dwell.

ipaintexas- With the stock board as long as the dwell is under 50 blinks, and your ROF delay is at 0 you're hitting 17 bps in rebound. Set you're rof to 0, set your dwell properly according to the instructions in this thread, and your marker will be set up to hit 17 bps in rebound and semi. If you still can't hit 17 bps in rebound you either have a slow hopper, or REALLY slow fingers.
Don't forget that your markers ROF is limited by how fast your loader can feed.

Why should the ROF be 0? isnt the higher it is, the faster it gets? (like, it gets to the 17 bps cap...?) if you raise the ROF with the yellow LED does it bring it to 0?

Actually, it's the exact opposite.

The ROF is not the "Rate of Fire", it is the ROFD, or "Rater of Fire DELAY". Pretty much it's the amount of time the boards waits after cycling tne noid before it will cycle it again.

So, if you set your ROF to 30 ms the board will wait 30 ms after a shot before it will fire another.
If you set the ROF to 0 ms, you are telling the board it can shoot as often as possible without waiting between shots.

Use the chart in post #169. Just find your dwell in the top rows, then go down ubtil you find 13, then go left, that is what you need to set your rof to to get 13 bps. You may need to raise your dwell a tad to make it right, but that's not a big deal.

I don't believe so, but you shouldn't need to go over 200 psi anyway.

The solenoids are the same, they can take more than 200-psi, but the real question is whether or not it'll work at the high pressuer levels. That's the difference between a regular Ion solenoid and one for an Epiphany/EOS (physically the same, but designed to deliver more power to the armature).

Spug, you said that to make the rate of fire the highest possible you turn it all the way up with the yellow LED right? cause in the techt ion video on the internet the guy says turn it all the way down with the red led to get maximum speed...im confused.

Blinking yellow if ROF delay down. To get maximum ROF you need to turn it all the way DOWN.
