I posted in your thread, but whatever;
I dunno why I'm going to, and not tell you to go read your manual, but whatever, I'm bored out of my mind.
I'll do this in a step by step instruction type deal;
1. Remove the left side of the grips, and bend it back behind the frame or behind the macroline.
2. Make sure a battery is connected into the harness, and turn your Ion on.
3. On the board, you should see a little grey button. Like this; (can clearly see at the bottom of the board)
4. Click that grey button, and you should get a solid yellow, click it again, a solid red, click it again, slow blinking yellow, click again, slow blinking red, click again, double blinking yellow, click again, double blinking red.
Solid yellow - Dwell Up
Solid red - Dwell Down
Slow blinking yellow - ROF Up
Slow blinking red - ROF Down
Double blinking yellow - Firing Mode Up
Double blinking red - Firing Mode down.
This is for dwell;
1. So click the grey button twice, and you should be at a SOLID RED colour which you'll be able to see through the grips.
2. Click the power button of the Ion and a yellow blink will happen, continue to click until the yellow blink stops.
3.Click the grey button until you get back to the SOLID YELLOW.
4. Click the power button 20 times. While clicking, a little red light under the solid yellow will blinking, meaning you pressed the power button once, meaning you increased dwell by 1, same applies with decreasing, but vice versa with colours.
After that, click the trigger, turn off the gun, and it will be saved. Then turn the gun back on.
This is for ROF
1. Click the grey button 4 times until you get to a slow blinking red.
2. Click the power button continuously, and a yellow blink will flash everytime you click the power button. Keep clicking until the yellow stops blinking.
Now if followed, your dwell will be 20, and ROF at 0.

Actually that was a pic of the T-Board..
but whatever, they're more or less a pic of the same thing.
That was only pic I found, or at least one that I found fast with the button showing.

it is ugly, but from what i heard.. CP is only a little bit better..
and in your sig, your ion isnt FULLY UP'D..
you need a new frame, reg, and detents (thats what wasn't stated/shown)

So true. I get +/- 1 on my stock reg, and thats all the time, I doubt CP's can do that.
Stock Ion regs and CP Regs are basically the same performance wise, and stock ion regs may be better then CP sometimes, but also CP can sometimes be better then the stock ion regs. They're more or less equal, and not worth the money. Go for a better regulator that is actually BETTER then the stock reg.

Reg is ordered (Dye Hyper 2) and I like the frame. I just bought new factory detents a month or so ago for when mine get worn.

You are lazy. How do you ever expect to learn anything if you don't attempt at figuring it out on your own? America's youth, hard at work!
To acheive optimal ROF, set the Dwell 43 clicks from the bottom and the ROFD at 0. This will give you 17 BPS. If you install a QEV, go 22 from the bottom and start there. Watch for drop off and bump up three clicks until drop off is not present.

With the virtue you can use the same method to find your optimal dwell. To cap the board at 13 bps you simply go to the flickering red LED in programming mode and set it to 7. Values are from 1-22, 1 is uncapped, 2-19 are 10.5 bps to 19 bps in .5 bps increments, and 20-22 are 20 bps to 22 bps in 1 bps increments.

big Q, bought a QEV and a firebolt, and when i installed them and went to redo my dwell setting (i usually do it by lowering it all the way and raising it one click at a time till it fully cycles, then 17 more past that for "optimum efficiency"), and after i installed everything and went to set the dwell it was already cycling at the lowest dwell setting. one question arises here, "theoretically", how many more clicks beyond zero would it not cycle. anyways, so after i realized it was already cycling i just put it up 15 clicks to check it out, and when i shot some paint it was inaccurate and chopping paint, i know the accuracy isn't an affect of the QEV but if the dwell is set far from optimal would it cause balls to chop or break in the barrel (yes eyes were on) thanks ahead of time for help

The only thing the dwell should affect is efficiency. Yes, theoretically, if your dwell is super low it could cause the bolt to impact the ball in the breech hard enough to smash it. However, with your dwell at 15.5 ms I doubt it, mine's at 13 ms and I have no problems.
Check to see if either your detents need to be replaced, they may be allowing the ball to roll far enough forward that the next ball can get into the path of the bolt. Also make sure your barrel isn't to small for the paint.

so spug...i had a small bore size but changed it out almost immediately and it was still chopping, well not chopping...there wasn't any paint whatsoever in the breech it was all like just inside the barrel, like there was no paint halfway down my freak insert, but anyways i guess my next question is, could walking just outside onto my deck into cold weather (ohio, sub-freezing) create the balls or barrel or anything in the gun to change shape well enough to mess with performance
