Ion leak and Dropping shot issue

Alright guys, I have an Ion as a backup/loaner for my friend. It seems to have a slight leak from around where the reg attaches to the body? Maybe a dry O-ring? Is there an O-ring in that area?

Also would that be causing a dropped shot here and there, it is really weird it will be ripping fine then all the sudden one random paintball will just have a first shot drop off type velocity. No clue what could be causing this...

I have never used or disassembled a spool valve before so it makes me a bit nervous, I am a poppit man myself. Also the reg gauge where about should that be for 285fps?

If it's leaking where the reg attaches to the body, remove said reg and replace the o ring that sits above the threads. If the leak persists, please come back.

Yeah stupid me, I had forgotten about that o-ring, going to investigate it.

Any help on the other two questions?

You have to take your gun to the chronograph at your local field and adjust your reg to get it where you want it. There is no set pressure for shooting at a specific velocity. Best of luck.

^^^ I understand that, I have been playing since 2000. I was looking for some general guidelines as to what pressure can get it around 285, I am just going to run it at 180, you see my field has no chrono...

D: I've never heard of that. It's different from marker to marker, I used to run mine at about 180 and my fields limit is 275. I think that might be a good area to run it at.
