why is it that people dont like cockers with drilled eye holes?

new to pbnation and i hope this is the right thread?

Wrong section, should be in the WGP Autococker section. There are a few reasons people don't like drilled autocockers. One, its a new area to allow dirt, grime, ect into the breach. Two, it usually distracts from the "look" or "milling" on that side of the gun. Three usually you have to find some sort of cover, to cover up the holes or repair it. If they don't bother you, then that's great. You can find some great classics at great prices that people won't touch because they were drilled.

I might add that most people drilled their own holes and didn't always do a great job.
