Here is my pathetic attempt at a tutorial.
One of the most easiest things to do on a Promaster, gets asked all the time. Why? Red locitie is why, it just so happens that ICD loves it. So heres a few tips to help get the little bugger off.
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Method 1) This method heats up the loctite for easy removal.
Materials:
Promaster
Hair dryer/blow torch
Strap wrench /hands
Step 1) Plug the hair dryer in. Place the Promaster down and turn on the hair dryer.
* If you decide to use a blow torch, be very careful. Do not let the flame make direct contact with the gun. The loctite will heat up pretty fast, it might be a good idea to where gloves when removing the feedneck as will. *
Step 2) Heat the loctite up for a good while. Make sure you turn the gun around and get every side of the feedneck.
Step 3) Use a strap wrench or your hands and remove the feedneck. If you feel like nothing has changed, take the hairdryer and go at it some more.
It should be pretty easy.
Step 4) screw new feedneck in.
--------------------------------------------------------------
Method 2) I used this method
Materials:
Promaster
Vice grip
Towel
Step 1) Open Vice grip and place towel inside. The towel prevents scratches.
It should look like this.
Step 2) Place Promaster feedneck upside down and clamp the vice grip sides in place.
Step 3) Turn Promaster slowly. Should come off very easily.
Step 4) Screw new feedneck in.
----------------------------------------------------------------
I have seen some crazy methods. One user drilled a hole through both sides of his feedneck. Stuck a metal rod through the holes and twisted. It worked, but not worth the work.
The two methods above should only take about 10 minutes. So i will save you the time and recommend you do one of those.
No matter what method you use, it all ends with the same thing. A happy one i hope.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Still don't know what feedneck to buy? Ill make it easy for you, here is two to choose from.
AKA feedneck, "Bushmaster" threads $20
CCM feedneck "Bushmaster" threads $35
They are the only true ICD threaded. You run no risk using these feednecks. Use a Smart Parts threaded feedneck, (like me

) you void your warrenty.
